Trophy Lakes is becoming a breeding ground for up and coming athletes of all disciplines.  While there, I got the privilege to train and hang out with future 3 event superstar, Leif Abel.  “Training at Trophy has totally changed my outlook on skiing with it's laid back lifestyle yet gung-ho mentality that pushes me to perform at the highest level.” says Leif Abel grinning from ear to ear.  Since training at Trophy, and at only 17 years old, Leif has been invited to the Jr. Masters, Jr. US Open, Jr. Worlds and competed in and helped bring home the title for the United States in the CanAm Challenge.  “Trophy has become my home away home.  The people there are not only my fellow co-workers, but also my best of friends.  The comradery among everyone who skis out there makes me feel right at home.”
